The Charles City Water Department will begin flushing the water distribution system on April 28th and will be completed by May 16th. This process helps to remove any deposits that may be built up on the interior walls of the water mains, and helps ensure that the water quality is maintained throughout the system. Customers may experience fluctuations in pressure and/or discoloration of their water during flushing. If you experience discoloration, run your cold water tap until it clears.
