The city's spring clean up dates have been set for April 23, 24,25 and 26. The guidelines are the same as last year and we hope that with everyone's cooperation, this will be another worthwhile service that the city offers it's residents. For all of the guidelines for the clean up, click here. We ask that you do not put out any items prior to April 21. The main reason for this is to help reduce the possibility of rains soaking up the items and causing heavier loads to the landfill. It will also help reduce the potential of items being strewn around the neighborhood prior to pickup. Any items set out before this date may result in a nuisance violation. This service is for Charles City residents only so please do not bring in any items from outside the city limits. It is very important that you do not put any corrugated cardboard out to be picked up with this city wide clean up. We have been informed that if there is any corrugated cardboard found in our spring clean up loads, we will be charged double the tipping fee.
