As a thank you to citizens for using the city transit service, a tour of some of the beautiful Christmas light displays in Charles City was organized and conducted Tuesday, December 11.  A generous donor purchased the transit tickets for all the participants for this tour and we are grateful for that display of holiday spirit.  The route was designed to allow for the limitations of the buses ability to turn around in tight spaces.  So that limited the areas the buses could travel safely.  This route by no means encompassed all of the beautiful light displays, but it was a good start!  If you are interested in taking the tour on your own, click here for the route the buses took. It is hopeful that this tour can be conducted again next year.  We appreciate the extra time and effort it took to plan and implement this holiday tour and we thank the city transit staff for their hard work.  I know it brought an extra special dose of holiday cheer to all of the riders.  Merry Christmas everyone!
