The garbage/recycling schedule for the city of Charles City will be as follows for the Christmas and New Year's holidays: Christmas week: Monday and Tuesday - residential trash and recycling will move to Wednesday, December 26; Wednesday and Thursday residential trash and recycling will be on Thursday, December 27. All commercial cardboard will be collected on Thursday, December 27. All Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday commercial dumpsters will be collected on Wednesday, December 26.
