First off, I'd like to thank everyone who shoveled around their fire hydrants. It benefits both you and us! We need your help again with the garbage and recycling totes. They can not be placed on top of a snow bank or in the street for pickup. The truck arm can't operate properly to get them off the high snow banks due to a safety mechanism. The correct procedure is to shovel an area at the end of the drive or sidewalk for the totes to sit. They still must be 4 feet apart and the lids closed in order to be picked up. Putting them in the street is not an option due to the snow plows having to move snow. We are all ready for winter to be over I know. So please allow our contractor to do their job of picking up the totes by setting them out properly. Once again, thank you for your cooperation!
