The National Safe Drinking Water Act requires that all public water supplies submit an annual “Consumer Confidence Report” on water quality (CCR) to their customers by July 1st of each year. The Charles City Water Department’s 2014 water quality report will be published in the Charles City Press.
The CCR is a brief annual water quality report from a public water supply to its customers. The primary purpose of the CCR is to summarize water quality data that the water system already collects. It will also include information on compliance, source water, and some required educational information.
Residents should be aware that this report will not be mailed to individual customers.

Copies of the CCR will also be available upon request at the City Hall Business Office and the Public Library during normal working hours.
